Seals Dam Seals

Seals are a contensious issue for faggots when it comes to conservation.
Claims that two many of them lead to a reduction in fish stocks are extremely fickle though, when you consider the amount of fish humans take from the sea. Much much further to this, impoundments to waterways reduce drastically the amount of nutrient rich sediment that plankton need to thrive on. This reduction in plankton leads to young fish having less to eat and so drastically reduces the amount of fish available in the food chain.
Lack of silt entering the marine environment also leads to coastal and flood plain erosion which are nurserys for young fish so reducing fish numbers even further.
So killing baby seals is pointless for conservation whilst breaking the seals of dams is essential for biodiversity.
