Israel Grants Oil Rights in Syria to Murdoch and Rothschild

by Craig Murray on February 21, 2013

Israel has granted oil exploration rights inside Syria, in the occupied Golan Heights, to Genie Energy. Major shareholders of Genie Energy – which also has interests in shale gas in the United States and shale oil in Israel – include Rupert Murdoch and Lord Jacob Rothschild. This from a 2010 Genie Energy press release:
Claude Pupkin, CEO of Genie Oil and Gas, commented, “Genie’s success will ultimately depend, in part, on access to the expertise of the oil and gas industry and to the financial markets. Jacob Rothschild and Rupert Murdoch are extremely well regarded by and connected to leaders in these sectors. Their guidance and participation will prove invaluable.”
“I am grateful to Howard Jonas and IDT for the opportunity to invest in this important initiative,” Lord Rothschild said. “Rupert Murdoch’s extraordinary achievements speak for themselves and we are very pleased he has agreed to be our partner. Genie Energy is making good technological progress to tap the world’s substantial oil shale deposits which could transform the future prospects of Israel, the Middle East and our allies around the world.”
For Israel to seek to exploit mineral reserves in the occupied Golan Heights is plainly illegal in international law. Japan was succesfully sued by Singapore before the International Court of Justice for exploitation of Singapore’s oil resources during the second world war. The argument has been made in international law that an occupying power is entitled to opeate oil wells which were previously functioning and operated by the sovereign power, in whose position the occupying power now stands. But there is absolutely no disagreement in the authorities and case law that the drilling of new wells – let alone fracking – by an occupying power is illegal.
Israel tried to make the same move twenty years ago but was forced to back down after a strong reaction from the Syrian government, which gained diplomatic support from the United States. Israel is now seeking to take advantage of the weakened Syrian state; this move perhaps casts a new light on recent Israeli bombings in Syria.
In a rational world, the involvement of Rothschild and Murdoch in this international criminal activity would show them not to be fit and proper persons to hold major commercial interests elsewhere, and action would be taken. Naturally, nothing of the kind will happen.

  1. A fait accompli. What can anyone do until the US-Israel alliance is eventually disentangled?

  2. As Israel knows no law or laws, I agree with Craig’s last sentence.

  3. Ben Franklin -Machine Gun Preacher (Unleaded Version)

Claude Pupkin? Is he related to Rupert Pupkin?http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_King_of_Comedy_(1983_film)
    Rupert Murdoch Pupkin……..opportunism stalks. It’s Tragi-Comedy.

  4. I read this on Counterpunch yesterday
    The “Perfect” Wicked Occupation
Facing Syria From an Israeli Bunker
    Golan Heights
It is late afternoon and I am standing on top of an active, although temporarily abandoned, Israeli bunker.
Through my Nikon lens I can clearly see a huge Syrian flag waving majestically in the wind. The flag is near, damn near, but why should it not be there – this is all Syria, according to the international law.
Where the flag is waving, it is Syria. Behind the flag, it is Syria; and Syria is where I am standing now, exposed and shivering in the chilly wind coming from the mountains.
It is quite a sight, all around me, quite a sight! Right ahead – destroyed and abandoned – are remains of the houses and buildings of the Syrian town of al- Qunaitra. On the left, the UN, or more precisely, the UNDOF base. There are white trucks and light armored vehicles behind their perimeter; almost like those outside Goma, East Kivu, in DR Congo.
But here, the UN base is sitting on what is called Demilitarized Zone, or DMZ. It is right between the ceasefire 1974 UNDOF lines Alfa and Bravo. Through the DMZ runs shiny and new Israeli barbed, high-voltage, stereotypical, and despite its glow – melancholy – wire fence.
Above all that mess, on top of the mountain, hums an enormous Israeli military post, equipped with dozens of radars, listening devices and antennas. It is far, maybe one kilometer away, but the sound it is producing is like that of a giant beehive. It is really obnoxious stuff – like some cartoon on over-militarization; a battleship placed on top of the mountain.
and this on the N American speculation frenzy

  5. Wonder if Bliar has got a finger in the Genie pie? Just that I saw that Pupkin once worked for JP Morgan. Pupkin and Avi Goldin Chief Financial Officer are the only two officers listed in About Us/Leadership. There are some imtesting names and connections on the Boardhttp://www.genieoilgas.com/strategic_advisory_board.php

Instead the news will be about Galloway’s boycott…

  7. Uzbek In The UK

There are many things that need to be look separately in this case.
    1. Is the barbaric nature of Zionists which is quite clearly well beyond Israel nowadays.
    2. Is the international law insolvency when it comes to dealing with real problems. And Jews have experienced this insolvency more than any other people.
    3. Is the issue of sovereignity within international law what is and what is not allowed within sovereignity framework and if there are any conditions to sovereignity.
    4. Is greater picture of Middle Eastern politics and relations between various Arab states (note not nations but states) Iran, Israel and western meddling.
    5. Is Global investment banking/hedge funds robbers and their influence on national governments and international institutions

  8. @ Willy robinson
I admire GG but if he had stayed, he would have won the day in the manner of his appearance before a US committee. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b4LDQixpCa8
George Galloway refuses to debate with Israeli student at Oxford
Respect MP accused of racism after walking out of West Bank debate at university, saying: ‘I don’t debate with Israelis’
‘Aslan-Levy told the Guardian he had in fact been calling for a solution that would recognise both states.’
Aslan-Levy must know that a two state ‘solution’ is pure fiction. The Guardian writers do not seem to have been able to rustle up anyone who supported Galloway’s action. At least they have not used that dreadful word ‘conflict’ to describe what has resulted from the Occupation, ie resistance.

  9. African Pope

“…and action would be taken. Naturally, nothing of the kind will happen.”
Action? By whom? I am still shocked that people buy the Sun after the phone hacking scandal, which was directly responsible for the worst corruption of public life for many decades. Not just in politics but also the judiciary and the police service. Even the so called ‘public outrage’ over the treatment of Milly Dowler seems to be quickly forgotten by the masses of dumbed down, uneducated morons known as ‘the public’.
The promotion of fake British traits such as the ‘stiff upper lip’, emotional reticence and ‘keeping mum’ is a license for vast public abuse, including horse-meat lasagne, stolen pensions, totally corrupt politics, fantasy news and all the rest that the putrid class that parade themselves on the idiot box promote. The average Brit would rather have their cosy little bubble-life weekend in return for 5 days of abject slavery than live in a fair and decent society, which might cause them some occasional thinking or even having to listen to their own conscience once in a while and make some selfless choices. Heaven forbid.

  10. This is what the recent ceasefire in Israel looks like that the Bishop of Bath and Wells refers to. He must have had his eyes closed on his recent visit.
    On just one day -
Zionist filth assault in West Bank village
Israeli Navy opens fire on fishing boat
Israeli Navy takes prisoner 2 fishermen
Israeli Army troops and dogs invade West Bank homes
Israeli soldiers beat up 17-year-old youth
3-month-old baby and mother overcome by Israeli tear gas
Israeli soldiers abduct 4 youngsters aged 15 to 17
Israeli soldiers beat up mentally-handicapped youngster
Israeli Army destroys home and farm building
Night peace disruption and/or home invasions in 4 refugee camps and 9 towns and villages
    2 attacks – 36 raids including home invasions – 8 beaten – 14 injured
    2 acts of agricultural/economic sabotage
    30 taken prisoner – 12 detained – 115 restrictions of movement

  11. African Pope

“And Jews have experienced this insolvency more than any other people.”

  12. Private Eye, in the latest edition, talks about Murdoch tweeting away about the wonders of fracking and tar sands/shale oil.
Marching in close formation, Murdoch’s gutterpress rants about wind turbines being “monstrosities”, while the Times raves about “investment, employment, economic growth and greater energy independence” in exploiting the fossil fuels.
It goes on to say this new enthusiasm for dirty non-renewables in the Murdoch press coincides with James Murdoch’s demise, the latter having been something of an eco-enthusiast, and Murdoch senior’s new deals with Genie Oil & Gas, as described in CM’s blog post.

  13. I think this is Netanyahu putting the frighteners on Obama. Last week it was another swathe of illegal settlements and the week before an illegal air-strike on Syria. We must expect this kind of grotesque provocation for the rest of Obama’s term unless he can show a bit of backbone (and get Hagel on board).
Next month Obama is due to visit Israel for the first time where he will be presented with Israel’s prestigious “presidential medal of distinction”. I think he should cancel the trip at the very last minute owing to a painful twisted eyelash.

  14. From the Genie press release linked in Craig’s article.
‘”Covering and distributing news has been my life’s work,” said Mr. Murdoch. “If Genie’s effort to develop shale oil is successful, as I believe it will be, then the news we’ll report in the coming decades will reflect a more prosperous, more democratic, and more secure world.”‘
Murdoch needs to spare five minutes to read this although he and the rest of the Genies probably already know these facts. These links refer to the danger encountered by the workers involved in fracking in Colorado.

  15. Habbabkuk (La Vita È Bella!)

O/T, but that’s the general rule on this blog, so when in Rome….
BBC radio news reports this evening that Lord McAlpine – falsely accused of paedophilia – has made it known that he will drop defamation charges against Twitterers who have fewer than 500 followers and urges those concerned to make a small donation to Children in Need. In this, Lord McAlpine has shown magnanimity and forgiveness to people who eagerly leapt onto the bandwagon of slander and calumny.
I do very much hope that if any of the regular commenters on this blog themselves tweeted these slanderous accusations they will follow Lord McAlpine’s suggestion and make a donation.
It would be nice to think that those commenters who retailed these slanderous rumours on Craig’s blog – either directly, or more slyly by referencing other posts or “sources” or by simple sly allusion – would also bring themselves to do likewise.

  16. Habbabkuk (La Vita È Bella!)

    @ African Pope (18h30) :
“The average Brit would rather have their (sic) cosy little bubble-life weekend in return for 5 days of abject slavery (sic) than live in a fair and decent society…etc etc.”
Well, you’ve had your tantrum and given the average Brit a good kicking.
And now, how about telling us what the average Brit can do about all this and/or what you think they should do – practically, concretely. If you like, start with the things you mentioned : the horsemeat scandal, stolen pensions, totally corrupt politics and fantasy news.
I await your further thoughts with interest.

  17. Lord McAlpine is most assiduous when it comes to not suing over allegations of paedophilia. The very same allegations, drawing on different witnesses and featuring an accurate photograph, were made several years ago by the now-defunct Scallywag magazine and McAlpine did not sue. The very same allegations were made several years ago in a David Icke book that remains in print but McAlpine has not sued. I expect twitterers with more than 500 followers are quaking in their boots.

  18. An excellent interview today on the radio Craig..can be heard on…. nah, I will let Craig tell you all…

  19. “BBC radio news reports this evening that Lord McAlpine – falsely accused of paedophilia”
Is that the same Lord McAlpine that owned a collection of works by Graham Ovenden?

  20. Neither Clegg or any others in the Lib Dem hierarchy have dealt with this individual who still seems to be acting on the party’s behalf in the Lords. He is also a trougher having claimed £40,000 for a second home although he owned an apartment close to Westminster but that was judged to be OK by the authorities at the time.
To my mind he is physically repellent judging from the images especially in the video where he is wearing the robe with the fur collar. He should have been given the knee in the groin treatment by these women.
Clegg and co are pathetic and wet. It will be interesting to see how he deals with these allegations, now very public.
Meanwhile Clegg and Carmichael continue to persecute David Ward and have persecuted Jenny Tonge in the past.

  21. Habbabkuk (La Vita È Bella!)

@ Fred : “a collection of works by Graham Ovenden” :
Does that fall under the category of sly allusions?
Here’s a straight one for you : are you saying Lord McAlpine is a paedophile?
I wonder if you’ll have the guts to give a straight yes or no to that one.
@ MJ : ah yes, Scallywag magazine, now defunct as you rightly say. Wasn’t that the mag that accused John Major of having an affair with a catering manageress in the House of Commons? And calling on David Icke for support, well, really! I believe he’s the fellow who thinks the Royal Family are all salamanders….or is it aliens from Alpha Centauri?

  22. “Wasn’t that the mag that accused John Major of having an affair with a catering manageress in the House of Commons?”
Yes. They were wrong and Major sued. It was Edwina Currie. How dare they call her a catering manageress!
“And calling on David Icke for support, well, really!”
I’m not calling on anyone’s support. I’m noting that Icke’s allegations against McAlpine remain in print and McAlpine hasn’t sued. I thought that was pretty clear.

  23. Im not up with the case but why is Mcalpine only sueing some people for these allegations and not others?
Is this all connected to the Savile,Elm Guest House etc?
    Sorry if O/T.

  24. He’s not suing anyone. He’s pursing the “out of court settlement” wheeze. The BBC and ITV should not have paid him a penny and nor should anyone else. There’s talk of him suing Sally Bercow but I won’t be holding my breath. Why doesn’t he sue Icke, whose book is still available on Amazon and in bookshops?

  25. Jives asked, “why is Mcalpine only sueing some people for these allegations and not others?
Maybe because people with only a handful of Twitter followers are – generally speaking – likely to not be famous/ big-shots/ have very little money, and so not to be worth the bother and expense of suing?
Can you think of anyone (apart from the Dalai Lama etc.!) with a significant number of Twitter followers, who _doesn’t_ have any money? *
    * For the sake of decency, let’s exclude this blog’s host from the discussion…

  26. Is Facebook and Twitter now mandatory?
it will soon be compulsary to open account, I suppose there are so many advantages, looking at the long term our online lives will be funneled through it.
Short the market down then “fill ya boots“
That’s speculation and a bit of manipulation.
I fancy going long on trees..Any buyers?

  27. Habbabkuk (La Vita È Bella!)

@ Fred : still waiting for your considered answer….. :)
@ MJ : why doesn’t he sue Icke? I don’t know, but it might be because Icke is generally considered to be so off-the-wall as not to be worth suing? As to why Lord McAlpine is using the out-of-court settlement “wheeze” as you call it. What’s not a “wheeze”?) there are two explanations I imagine : he’s either afraid of a trial (cf Oscar Wilde) or he’s old and not well and doesn’t feel like going through the mental hassle etc of numerous court trails and appearances; in that way the lawyers deal with the matter. Just a thought.

  28. @ Fred : still waiting for your considered answer….. :)
    Been waiting longer for yours.
Get it into your head you don’t get to tell people what to do, you don’t get to tell people what to say, you are not in control, you are nothing special, you are just a deluded little shit.

  29. We had another homily this morning on Radio 4 from Lord Sacks (when is he actually going btw?) on the meaning of Purim where children dress up in fancy clothes in plays to celebrate the deliverance of the Jewish people from the Persians by Mordechai and Esther. He went on to say that Jewish people have been subjected to oppression over the centuries.
How does he compare what Purim represents to the oppression of the Palestinian people, described for instance in my post above
and described within this report dated 21st February, 2013?
    Just two days.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Purim 6,400 words including references helpfully provided by the Jewish Portal.

  30. The Pollard Report. 186 pages. Redacted according to the coverage.

Lord Patten under fire as ‘dysfunctional’ BBC faces Savile report
Reams of ‘unedifying’ internal documents show corporation’s ‘meltdown’

  31. “Lord Patten under fire as ‘dysfunctional’ BBC faces Savile report”
And so he bloody well should be.
Sir Savile was a pervert as was Sir Cyril Smith oh and according to the BBC web site this morningLord Rennard. Lord McAlpine buys photos of pre pubescent little girls with no clothes on in erotic poses then sets his fancy expensive lawyers on anyone who suggests he’s a paedophile. Seems like half the aristocracy of Britain could have been in and out of Elm Guest House.
Then they put a Lord in charge of the inquiry like we’re supposed to trust the bastards. They keep on putting Lords in charge of enquiries and they keep on being whitewash after whitewash yet they keep on expecting us to trust the cover the establishment’s arse bastards.

  32. “it might be because Icke is generally considered to be so off-the-wall as not to be worth suing”
Don’t follow the logic. Icke’s got a bob or two I’d imagine, which is the main thing. If he’s as off the wall as you suggest then they’d run rings round him in court.

  33. David Icke may have hit upon a genius way of getting his ‘message’ out while retaining his life and liberty. For example, when he highlights the royal family’s criminal excesses, devious dealings or blatant nastiness, most of which is totally believable, he usually likes to mention at the same time that they are all reptilian illuminati from the planet Nibiru.
Imagine how ridiculous it would look if one of his targets were to take legal recourse. The same goes for state sponsored accidents, why knock-off someone who is so patently mad and has next to zero public credibility. Killing him would only draw attention to his message.
In the meantime he is able to disseminate a lot of valid information regarding many areas of the bubble reality created by those who control the soon to be scrapped fiat money system. The trick with Icke is to understand the the extremely ridiculous stuff may be there as a shield.
The other alternative is that he is a plant who’s purpose is to conflate reality with fantasy, thereby rendering reality unbelievable to the average schmuck.

  34. Some thoughts on the Birmingham planning-of-terror story…
Case 1: Mohammed Atta, the alleged leader of the 911 attacks, was a regular visitor to a casino ship owned by ‘crooked lobbyist’, Zionist Jack Abramoff.
Did he win lots of money on the roulette wheel? Or did he just throw it all away? Whatever, he must have been pleased he didn’t have to live under sharia law. Ever get the feeling that something doesn’t quite hang together?
Case 2: Anders Breivik, the, er, Christian-conservative ‘Knight Templar’ who murdered 88 people in Norway (and if anyone suspects he didn’t have mental problems, please read his manifesto) made lots of money gambling on financial markets.
What broker did he use, I wonder?
Case 3: Marc Dutroux, the Belgian paedophile murderer who worked with a number of extremely influential individuals who have not been convicted or tried, has made lots of money during his time in prison, gambling on the stock market.
What broker did he use, I wonder?
OK some of this is below-the-line advertising, similar to the way whisky labels or snack bars get mentioned in articles about Carlos Sanchez (‘Jackal’) or Saddam Hussein; and similar to the way Facebook, Youtube, Twitter and Google get mentioned in most big news stories nowadays. ‘Get rich quick’!
But that doesn’t seem to be the whole of it, because the above-mentioned activities provide very effective channels for getting money to people.
Afterwards you can instruct the media to say that the people weren’t funded at all – they were just really clever at speculation, or Madame Fortune shone on them, or both.
    Like yeah, right.
Never mind that in the real world, it’s extremely difficult to make lots of money fast, if you haven’t got lots of money to start with. Ask Nick Leeson.
And now we hear that those men in Birmingham, convicted of planning a terror attack to dwarf 911 (by doing things like, er, attaching blades to their car and mowing people down, and mixing poison – what poison? – with handcream and putting it onto 1000 car door handles) tried to get money from loansharks as a ‘payday loan’.
    Did they, now?
When I first heard that, I wondered whether the loansharks may have been Wonga, the vile company set up by two Israelis, which offers loans at a 4000% interest rate, and which had its knuckles lightly rapped with a feather duster for threatening its debtors and telling lies.
    That’d be interesting, I thought.
But the loanshark company involved was apparently (click on the above link to the Guardian article) called Yes Loans, who heroically turned the application down.
That’s the same company that was shut down by the Office of Fair Trading in 2012, for lying, cheating, and threatening.
So they refused this particular loan application, did they? Whereas pretty much anyone else who is traceable can borrow as much as they want from loansharks. That’s what loansharks do. Except in this case, right?
    What a coincidence.
Foreign-exchange trading efforts are also said to have come to nothing in this case.
British soldiers will be familiar with the term ‘walt’. Then again, Anders Breivik is a ‘walt’, but 88 people got killed. Useful walt.
    Panning out…
…obviously some individuals and groups are led to believe they’re about to conduct a large operation, and then either wound down (one way or another, perhaps by being dropped in doo-doo), or given something much smaller to do. All serious agent handlers are trained in assessing influenceability, gullibility, and motivation. The main goal of the controllers may be something very different from planning the sort of operation the individuals are told to think about or ‘plan’ – it may be gaining intelligence about money flows, for example, or placing an agent in something more important, or preparing ways to carry out bigger operations later, using other agents.
I’m not even particularly talking about this case.
Just remember these things: loansharks and terror attacksfinancial gambling and terror attacks…effective ways of getting money to people.
One of the directors of Yes Loans was Melfyn Roberts (see also here). Have a look at this piece by Tony Hetherington in the ‘Daily Mail’: Disgraced boss of claims firm surfaces again.

  35. More stealing of resources then and Murdoch right in it, is that man infallible, who’s is going to get rid of these tax dodging urchins defrauding our society and system.
At what time will it become acceptable to retaliate some more and in kind, up the sanctions and boycotts on Israel, imposed by global disinvestment. Are Israeli assets abroad fair game?
What should our proportional responses to such stealing be? what of the gas fields off shore, one next to the Lebanese border and one clearly within Gaza’s territorial waters, already being test drilled?
How is it possible that the UN does not interfere in such deals, when it clearly is a breach of agreed statutes?

  36. “The other alternative is that he is a plant who’s purpose is to conflate reality with fantasy, thereby rendering reality unbelievable to the average schmuck.”
    That’s my take on it.
He does actually get a lot of things right in amongst, but nobody believes it, because he said it.
About the worst thing that can happen if you are trying to bring awareness of an issue to the general public is for it to be on David Ike’s web site. Suddenly you are wearing a tin foil hat. Doesn’t matter how objective you are, doesn’t matter how many provable facts you have as evidence, if it has Ike’s name associated with it nobody wants to listen.

  37. With Icke you have got to go back to 1989-90, when part of the British media was used to talk up the Green Party in the 1989 EU election as preparation for doing it in the next UK general election. The aim was partly to keep the percentage of people who voted above a completely derisory level, but mainly it was to reduce the Labour vote and keep the Tories in office, as was also the aim when other parties were talked up in 1974 (Scottish and Welsh nationalists) and 1983 (the SDP and Liberals). In the 1989 EU vote, the Greens ended up getting 15%. That was the highest vote of any Green party in the EU, whereas before that time the British Greens had been less popular than any of their counterparts. Which shows you what amount of power over people’s actions is wielded through the media, and also why no powerful elite ever got scared by a general election. If memory serves, one of the Murdoch newspapers (‘Today’?) actively encouraged people to vote Green.
Anyway, Icke was one of the leaders of the Green Party, and his public profile was possibly bigger than that of the other leaders, given his recognisability as a former sports commentator on the telly. He was moving towards a position of being the first Green MP in the House of Commons. His constituency would have been the Isle of Wight.
But the problem was…as well as coming from people who otherwise might not have voted, the Green votes also came from a lot of young bourgeois, especially in the south of England, who otherwise would have voted Tory. Whoops! They were taking votes from the Tories, not from Labour! That wasn’t in the game plan! So the whole ‘build up the Green party’ plan was shelved.
Icke was very probably slipped enough LSD to send him round the bend… I imagine he is easy to manipulate, and I have heard people who have watched his act closely call him a ‘moron’.

  38. David Icke and Sarah Parkin thought that they could install themselves as perpetual leaders, they felt that they were ‘the respectable face’ of the Green Party.
Both were top down characters who did not feel able to work with regional representatives on the GPRC.
I was a member of that party for 34 years, wrote some of their transport/housing policy and a close observer of what went on during that period.
The 15% under a PR system would have landed the Green Party with 11 MEP’s then, but it was not until 1999 before the first Green MEP’s got elected, a proponent for the Green 2000 stifler’s, who sabotaged the Green Party’s evolution and who turned up at Conference with a few hundred London proxy votes to divert Conference.
The book of that time does not deserve to be written anymore, the Greens are no different from other parties and their stance, their moral high horse, is nauseating at times.

  39. A party comes from almost nowhere, gets support in one of the Murdoch newspapers, wins 15% of the popular vote, and then in the next nationwide vote, the general election 3 years later, gets 0.5%? I think the story does deserve to be written.
1987: general election: Greens get 0.3%
1989: EU election: big media coverage ensures Greens get 15%
1991: David Icke announces he’s the Son of God
1992: general election: Greens get 0.5%
There are other places where parties or candidates have come from almost nowhere…including in countries with developed pluralist political spectacles, such as Israel (various), Russia (Zhirinovsky), France (Coluche), Australia (Pauleen Hanson), and as mentioned, Scotland in 1974 (SNP, an outfit that was employed in 1979 to bring down the Labour government). Meanwhile the Freedom Party of Austria was funded through the Social Democrats. No political party should be judged by what it says.
Party politics is all corrupt, all fake, all to do with propaganda and mind control – as too is the not directly parliamentary part of the media political opinion spectacle.

“And Jews have experienced this insolvency more than any other people.”
Well, yea? Tell this to 6 million Jews murdered by white collar bastards in black uniform. Or to further 4 million Jews displaced in Russia and Easter Europe. Reliance on international law did not help nor them nor other people suffering from tyranny of their own or alien origin.

  41. The next time we hear about rockets from Gaza, quote this.
What a ‘period of calm’ looks like in the Occupied Territories
Three months after the last major Israeli incursion into the Gaza Strip, the “period of calm” is only “calm” for Israel.

  42. Published on 22 Feb 2013
British MP George Galloway has walked out of a debate at Oxford University upon finding out that his opposite side is an Israeli.
According to Thursday reports, Galloway immediately left the discussion session at the university’s Christ Church College, after Eylon Aslan-Levy, accidentally revealed his Israeli origins.
The British lawmaker was arguing that the Israeli regime should immediately withdraw from the occupied West Bank when Aslan-Levy used the word “we” to describe Israel’s stance on the issue.
“You said ‘we’,” said Galloway. “Are you an Israeli?” “I am, yes,” Aslan-Levy replied.
Galloway then said, “I don’t debate with Israelis. I have been misled, sorry,” reiterating as he walked out that, “I don’t recognize Israel and I don’t debate with Israelis.”
“I never debate with Israelis nor speak to their media. If they want to speak about Palestine – the address is the PLO [Palestine Liberation Organization],” Galloway later said on his Facebook page.
He also stated the Christ Church College had never informed him that the debate would be with an Israeli.
During Pakistan’s Karachi Literature Festival on February 18, Galloway called on the West to “stop supporting the crimes of Israel against the Palestinians.”
“As long as Western countries are giving Israel money for weapons, inventing one law for Israel and another for others, how can you expect Muslims to look with equanimity towards a crime of such importance in such a place?” the British MP asked.

Fred : still waiting to hear from you whether Lord McAlpine is a paedophile or not.
Jusr a simple yes or no will do.
No sly, cowardly little allsuions (eg, mentioning Ovenden).
But I’m sure you won’t have the guts to give a simple answer. You’re the commenter who likes to use four letter words when you run out of arguments. Well, here’s one for you : you are scum. Of the gutless variety.

  44. Ref Rennard Ch 4 broadcast two more allegations of impropriety tonight but he is still denying the charges. The situation must be embarrassing for his wife, who is a fellow director of a company called Rennard and McTegart Ltd.
Fallon can only say that the party needs to improve ways to instigate investigations into such matters. Cleggover has not commented but he is famous of course for boasting of his own thirty conquests.
For the record Rennard has this entry in his HoL register.

  45. Habbabkuk
Get it into your tiny brain you do not give the orders. I reply to what I want to reply to and I say what I want to say not what some blollock brained moron tells me to say.
Did it sink in yet? You are not in control you only think you are.
Now go fuck yourself shit for brains.

  46. Habbabkuk (La Vita È Bella!)

@ Fred : you can’t slide out of this by turning it into an argument about “control”.
At the time, you posted sly, allusive remarks about Mc Alpine being a paedophile.
You’ve now come up with the same type of remark.
But when challenged, you refuse to say whether you’re calling him a paedophile or not.
So I ask you again : are you claiming tat McAlpine is a paedophile? If you are, then have the guts to say so. Don’t be afraid, I’m sure he won’t think you’re worth going after. If you aren’t, then you might consider apologising here on this blog to both McAlpine for the sly innuendo and to me for your crass insults. And make that donation to Children in Need if you can afford it.

  47. @ Fred : you can’t slide out of this by turning it into an argument about “control”.
I’ve made my position clear. I say that people who look at pictures of little girls with no clothes on are paedophiles whether the pictures cost thousands of pounds and are labelled “art” by the pervert establishment or not.
Now maybe you could tell us why you are so desperate to defend such people.

  48. Child porn detections up by 48%
“We need to be asking what is the male psychology that makes them view this imagery? It’s not just a few sick men, it’s a much larger number.
“As a society we haven’t got our heads around that, we need to recognise this and have a rational and sensible conversation rather than see them as monsters or beasts.”
Can child porn users be treated?

  49. Habbabkuk (La Vita È Bella!)

    @ Fred :
Thank you for that answer. So if I understand you properly, and using your words : anyone who looks at pictures and photos like those by Graham Ovenden is, in your book, a paedophile. It is on this basis that you consider Lord McAlpine to be a paedophile, because he owns such pictures.
As a further thought, based on the above : you presumably believe that the art galleries which show Ovenden pictures and photos are run by paedophiles, and the visitors of such galleries, if they look at those pictures, are also paedophiles. As are those who might owe a book by Ovenden.
Well, that’s one test for a paedophile, I suppose. And posts like yours are one test for a real nutter (clue : “..the pervert establishment..”. Do you also see little green men climbing up your bedroom walls?)

  50. Scans of the original Scallywag article available here:
I truly astonished that we are supposed to believe that McAlpine is now beyond suspicion, purely on the basis of one bizarre and scarcely-credible retraction.

  51. “Thank you for that answer. So if I understand you properly, and using your words : anyone who looks at pictures and photos like those by Graham Ovenden is, in your book, a paedophile. ”
Those were not my words you desptcable little shit.
You really are desperate to defend people who “look at pictures of little girls with no clothes on”, my words, aren’t you?
    You still haven’t said why.

  52. Bryan Hemming

Think this thread has been hijacked, Craig. Such a shame. It´s happening everywhere. Sort of a self-defeating hasbara type operation.
You do a tremendous job, putting yourself at real risk, while others use your site under pseudonyms to vent their spleen. So much so I had to scroll up to remember what the theme was about.
Murdoch is probably one of the most vicious media moguls the world has ever seen. For years I have been saying that anyone who changes nationality in order to own a newspaper – as he did – is obviously not fit to own a newspaper. As a power – however undemocratic and distasteful it can be – the fourth estate owes allegiance to either the state, or the people. It is quite obvious Murdoch shows contempt towards both everywhere he operates.
Nobody should be allowed to control anything so powerful as a media outlet in more than one country, simply because of the opportunity it presents to undermine democracy in favour of economic advantage. This is one case where I can say: if it´s good enough for the US of A it’s good enough for the rest of the world.

  53. Habbabkuk (La Vita È Bella!)

Fred : are you drunk this early in the day, or forgetful, or just plain stupid?
“Those were not my words..” you whine.
So let’s quote you verbatim :
1/. “I say that people who look at pictures of little girls with no clothes on are paedophiles……” (your comment at 10h51 today)
2/. “Lord McAlpine buys photos of pre pubescent little girls with no cmothes on…” (your comment at 09h14 today)
3/. “”Is that the same Lord McAlpine that owned a collection of works by Graham Ovenden?” (your comment at 22h17 on 21 Feb.)
So you are saying clearly that Lord McAlpine is a paedophile, aren’t you.
Make your donation to Children in Need and thank God you’re too small for McAlpine to deal with. And do us all a favour and get off this blog, to which you add nothing and whose good reputation you just sully.

  54. Habbabkuk
You still haven’t said why you are so desperate to defend people who like looking at pictures of little girls with no clothes on.

  55. Habbabkuk (La Vita È Bella)

I’m desperate to defend anyone against being unjustly accused of anything. Especially in the sly and cowardly way you specialise in. But I did flush you out in the end, I’m happy to say : I got you to give your definition of a paedophile and I got you to confirm that you think Lord McAlpine is a paedophile.
There’s your answer, my dear No Trousers Fred.

  56. “I’m desperate to defend anyone against being unjustly accused of anything. Especially in the sly and cowardly way you specialise in. But I did flush you out in the end, I’m happy to say : I got you to give your definition of a paedophile and I got you to confirm that you think Lord McAlpine is a paedophile.”
Still suffering from delusions, you don’t get me to do anything, didn’t I explain that to you sunshine?
So having established that Lord McAlpine bought exotic pictures of little girls we just need to establish why you are so desperate to defend him.

  57. Habbabkuk (La Vita È Bella!)

@ Fred : I wonder if you’ve ever let your eyes flicker towards the top shelf of the magazine section in W.H. Smith? Perhaps even invested in one of those mags?
    I’m sure you have.
In my book, that makes you a rapist.
Now do you see how silly your “argument” is?

  58. Young man fighting for his life following settler attack into Qusra
Posted on: February 23, 2013 International Solidarity Movement, Qusra, Occupied Palestine
Following a violent incursion by Israeli fundamentalist settlers into Qusra, two people have been hospitalized with serious injuries. Around 15 settlers from Esh Kodesh (Holy Fire) and Shilo entered Qusra, the clashes that ensued left many people injured, including a sixteen year old boy who is currently in surgery and may lose his left eye as well as a 26 year old man fighting for his life after being shot in the chest, by an Israeli settler.
At around 11am this morning settlers began attacking the village of Qusra. Armed with rifles, they attacked homes on the outskirts of Qusra, throwing stones they broke windows. The youths of the village attempted to defend their homes. In the clashes that ensued Helmi Abdul Azeez Hassan was shot by a settler, the bullet narrowly missed his heart.

  59. Well it is O.K I gave rights to Syria to drill for hidden nukes in Dimona EEsraell.

  60. It Is I Only

That what I call, counting your chickens before they hatch! Or maybe I could say, this is “CHUTZPAH”!

  61. all thats missing is Larry Silverstein .

  62. Oh dear, this thread has become a bit of a mess of anti-Jewish sentiment, hasn’t it? “Hitler had the right idea”, “megaton fireball over Tel Aviv” – one cannot speak out against the ills of Israeli foreign policy but be in favour of an annihilation of a whole people.
(Four objectionable posts deleted, we do not tolerate openly racist posting here).

  63. It is not the Jewish people that cause the problems, any more than the American people. It is the cabal or Illuminati (banksters, Oil cabal, industrial/military complex, and their media mouthpiece of whom Murdoch is the leader)who are controlling the world. No one can become President of the US or PM of the UK unless they are approved by the Illuminati and do their bidding. Bring their dirty dealings out into the open and their power will soon evaporate. They were able to concentrate their power over the world through secrecy and wealth and mind control through the control of the media. The people of the world should take heart and know that “knowledge is power.”
