Despite the propaganda to paint Russia and China evil,I think that these 2 powers were less involved in war during the past decades and focused on developping the infrastructure which secure future growth and the well being of the people.Indeed the people win when the govnmts make the right decision.Obama condemned the deal as it weakens the sanctions and US dollars but who care billions of people live in different countries and do not use the US $?
Soon Russia will build a pipeline and China will cooperate to have energy flowing to India .Energy will flow via China territory entering India.

the effect of energy is soo cumulative its incredible.. China will quadruple the order of gas/oil from Russia once it tastes the benefits of it.. these two countries will lead the world..

Well till 2019 plenty of things can happen. But china is the winner in this. Most of the infrastructure needs to be build by russia. And russia needs to lower its gas prices to minimum.

A decree to begin the practical implementation of Gazprom’s project to supply natural gas to China has been signed by the Russian company’s CEO, Aleksey Miller. It says actual gas supplies will start from 2019.

Already next year Gazprom will start infrastructure work at the Chayanda deposit in Russia’s Republic of Yakutia, which will be the source of the gas for the project, the company said.

The construction of the first line of the Power of Siberia pipeline leading to China will begin next year as well, the statement added.

On Wednesday, Gazprom signed its biggest deal in history, a $400 billion 30-year contract under which the company will supply 38 billion cubic meters of gas to China per year.

The deal involves infrastructure investments of more than $70 billion from both sides becoming the world's largest construction project.

Russia will provide $55 billion up front and China $22 billion for construction of pipelines within their borders.

In 2013, China consumed about 170 billion cubic meters of natural gas and is expected to consume 420 billion cubic meters per year by 2020.
