Big Green Oil Money: GREENPEACE & WWF founded and run by Royal Dutch-Shell

If any person or group dares to question the great global warming and climate change orthodoxy, green clerics will first attempt to discredit them – normally by leaping across the table and pointing the finger of shame right in their face, exclaiming, “You’re funded by Big Oil!”
That makes it all the more ironic when you consider who first funded, and later ran the great global flag ship for the modern green movement…
‘s recent article entitled, The WWF’s Vast Pool of Oil Money chronicles the rise the globalist green charity – seeded with funding from global petroleum giant Royal Dutch Shell, who’s former President of 15 years, John Loudon, later served as president of WWF International for four years after that.
In 1961 Shell Oil forked-out the handsome sum of £10,000 to help found WWF-UK, money that in today’s terms equates to £418,000 – or $663,000 (see the historical calculator here).
But that’s only the beginning. WWF continued to ride the wave of oil cash for the next 40 years – from giants like BP, Shell and others, until the year 2000.
Not surprisingly, self-appointed socialist technocrats at Greenpeace dictate on their own website that the idea of free speech no longer applies when it comes to the climate debate, and will often attack climate skeptics based on their alleged connections to ‘Big Oil’.
According to the charity Greenpeace:
“There’s a difference between free speech and a campaign to deny the climate science with the goal of undermining international action on climate change…  Freedom of speech does not apply to misinformation and propaganda.”
Their own militant stance makes it all the more interesting that Greenpeace itself is funded byStandard Oil money, and so is Sierra Club – according to the watchdog website Activist Cash.
See for yourself:
Rockefeller Brothers Foundation
Greenpeace $1,080,000.00 1997 – 2005
Sierra Club $710,000.00 1995 – 2001
ACORN $10,000.00 2002 – 2002
Rockefeller Family Fund
Greenpeace $115,000.00 2002 – 2005
Sierra Club $105,000.00 1996 – 2002
ACORN $25,000.00 1998 – 1998
Rockefeller Foundation
Greenpeace $20,285.00 1996 – 2001
Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors
Sierra Club $38,250.00 1997 – 2000
Suffice to say that the neither of these champions of climate change and global government – the WWF and Greenpeace, would exist without all that juicy Big Oil Money.
One last inconvenient truth should be mentioned here. The unofficial leader of the global warmist movement, Al Gore, is also heavily invested in, and is doing massive deals with – Big Oil.
Estimates put Gore’s wealth holdings in Occidental Petroleum upwards of $500,000 in stocks and shares, which stands to reason why Gore fixed up the deal to sell the country’s US Naval Oil Reserve… to Occidental Petroleum –  in a no bid contract, naturally.
Still, so many people admire Al Gore so for all wonderful his ‘envronmental credentials’.
Or could it just be a case of the bland leading the blind?

  1. This is a totally fake scandal.

Standard Oil went defunct in 1911, that's 60 years before Greenpeace was founded.

Greenpeace does not accept donations from corporations or governments. It does accept donations from individual and family foundations. So, it could be true that the descendants of owners of Standard Oil have donated to Greenpeace. That's not the same as taking money from an oil company.

  2. Right... so all that adds to a few million here and there... over the course of many years. Peanuts. The corporates have been funding and lobbying their other real interests with great swathes of cash. The bloggers propositon is ludicrous

  3. Oh this makes total sense: To a total ignorant. Oh gosh, where to start. Well here's one: Greenpeace's main campaign for more than 2 years is AGAINST Shell. Surely Shell is absolutely thrilled to fund campaigns bashing their brand. Logical.
The information on funding you refer to from that lovely Activist Cash website, I assure you is (for as far as Greenpeace goes at least) totally bogus. The matters they dig up about what Greenpeace is against and why, are unfunded and you'd discover that rather quickly if you actually spent some time reading Greenpeace's website and then comparing the views to leading INDEPENDENT scientists on the matter. You'd find... to your ignorant head's surprise that they line up.
It's always interesting to me how people are happy to side with companies and multinationals who ever so clearly have one objective, more cash, for just a handful of fat-cats, and will go to any extent to get it. Is there any discussion about this fact? Do you really need more examples of multinationals and governments royally screwing over the planet and (in most cases) the poorest people on it to come to that conclusion?
And then yet, organizations who try to change things for the better for everyone... are so ridiculously scrutinized. Not that I'm against these organizations being checked up on and being transparent - this IS the case btw. ...But geez ppl.
Mostly when I read this kind of ignorant waffle, I wanna be like, "Really? Is that what you believe, fine then trust the very companies and governments tearing down this planet and enjoy the terrible future you're headed for. So long suckers!"... But then I realize we share this earth and that somehow your demise, is mine as well. So please, wake the f* up.

  4. RESEARCH THE CHAGOS ISLANDS (JUST PUT IT INTO MY SEARCH ENGINE FOR A START) AND THEN TELL ME WHO IS GOING AGAINST PEER REVIEW AND WIKILEAKS FACTS. WE ALL NEED TO STAND UP AGAINST THE USA GOVERNMENT IN ITS QUEST FOR GLOBAL RESOURCE CONTROL. RUSSIAN OIL EXPLORATION IS AN EXTREME MICRO ISSUE COMPARED TO SHEEP FARTING, NEVER MIND THE GLOBAL WAR MACHINES VISION OF THE FUTURE. GET OFF THE BANDWAGON, PUT DOWN THE ANTHEM - OTHERWISE WE'LL ALL BE DEAD OR ENSLAVED (OR IS THAT WHAT YOU WANT?)

Rockefeller Control of Oil Fact: The Rockefellers’ oil empire got started in 1870 when John D. Rockefeller founded Standard Oil and became America’s first billionaire. Standard Oil has since morphed into Exxon-Mobil and others. (read more)
In 1911, the Sherman Antitrust Act was passed to oppose entities, such as monopolies or cartels that would harm competition. In theory, the act broke up John D. Rockefeller’s monopoly, Standard Oil. However, the reality is that the Rockefellers were able to maintain control over the spinoffs of Standard Oil, such as ExxonMobil, thus retaining a dominating presence in the oil industry, despite the intent of the law.
